Adult Day Care

Finding the right solution for your own or your loved one’s elder care needs is important. You want just the right mix of services and support to preserve independence, maintain safety and enhance quality of life. Samaritan offers two services for our local seniors to keep them engaged and keep their independence with Adult Day Care.

At the Samaritan Keep Home we provide a Medical Model of Adult Day Care.

You can start the application process by downloading the Adult Day Health Care Application (click on the link).  You must have Adobe Acrobat to open the application.

Services provided include:

  • Nutritional meals – continental breakfast, lunch and snacks
  • Social and recreational activities, such as bingo, arts and crafts, etc. 
  • Beauty/Barber Shop (extra charges apply) 
  • Chaplain Available
  • Handicap Accessible 
  • Individual Care Plans
  • Transportation (extra charges apply)

The program runs Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Full-time and part-time enrollment opportunities available.

How the program can be paid for:

Adult Day Care - Medical Model

At the Samaritan Keep Home we provide specialty care for qualified individuals who live at home, but require restorative support services and socialization. Adult Day Health Care - Medical Model, offers an alternative to institutional care by allowing individuals to remain in their homes. Adult Day Health Care offers several programs and services that are important to senior care in this area

How the program works

Services are provided on a daily basis - the program runs Monday through Sunday 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Therapeutic programs are developed for each person based on the individual's physician recommendations. The Samaritan Keep Home staff of professionals then administers the services.

    • Available for all those that qualify. Vans are available for a nominal fee and are equipped for the disabled and wheelchair bound.

Social Services

The Samaritan Keep Home Social Services Department is actively involved in addressing the participants'' personal needs, including advice as to the various community based programs that would be available to lend additional support.

Nutritional Counseling and Meals

The nutritional needs of those in the program are closely monitored by our licensed and professional staff. Participants are counseled by an ADA Registered Dietitian on how to meet their nutritional needs at home. A nutritious hot lunch and snacks are provided daily.

The Samaritan Keep Home and Adult Day Health Care Program are fully accredited by the New York State Department of Health and the Veterans Administration.
